Stars : 2/5 'The Hate U Give' is about Starr Carter who witnesses her childhood friend Kahlil being murdered by a white cop. Her voice may bring justice to her young friend, but along with many other consequences. Now It's upto her to speak out or keep mum. I know that this book is a popular book. And I understand why people like it. But I didn't like it. Just hear me out. For me, the first impression on a book is based on it's language or writing style. And I don't like people using cuss words in it. So my first impression on this book was 'thumbs down'. I tried to ignore it and read it because it's a 'popular' book. And I was kind-off fine in the start. But at the final parts of the book, I just couldn't agree to many things in it.
