Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Fangirl is about a girl named Cath, she’s an introverted person, who has anxiety. She wishes to keep to herself and not to meet any new people. Wren, Cath’s twin sister is exactly the opposite of her sister, she’s an extrovert, who loves to meet new people and make friends. Cath is starting her freshman year. She doesn’t want to leave her home, but Wren wants to explore and meet new people and that’s how they end up at a university far from home. Cath is a reader as well as a writer. She’s a huge fan of a series named Simon Snow. She writes fanfictions about Simon and Baz from this series. She’s quite a popular author in the fanfiction community. This book is all about how she’s trying to cope and live her life.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a quick read for me. The story was really heartwarming. To a point, I could relate to Cath and that made my reading experience better. I really loved the bitter-sweet relationship between Cath and Wren, also I loved the relationship between the girls and their dad. I would recommend this book to people who wish to read just a light-hearted and heartwarming contemporary book.
